Our research focuses on small waters and the ecology of a few groups of key aquatic organism (phytoplankton, phytobenthos, macroinvertebrates) using field, experimental, environmental DNA-based and modelling methods. Invasive algae species, rare and keystone species will be addressed in particular. Our structural and functional community analyses are primarily basic research, but also produce applied research results that highlight the natural values of our waters and how to conserve their biodiversity. In addition, we are involved in paleolimnological studies, mesocosm and ecotoxicological experiments to understand the impacts of climate change, invasion and eutrophication, in national and international collaborations.
